Victoria's Annual Ska Festival
Victoria’s Annual Ska Festival is the largest of its kind in Canada and has become one of the country's most anticipated music festivals. The festival represents the growing participation and interest in ska music, its related genres and sub-cultures by thousands of people in Victoria and the rest of Vancouver Island, Vancouver, Lower Mainland British Columbia and the rest of the world. The festival also represents the relentless efforts of people who have been working towards getting ska music firmly established in Victoria and the rest of the Island
Victoria International Arts Symposium
Born out of the City’s designation as a 2005 Cultural Capital of Canada, the International Arts Symposium is a bi-annual event celebrating Victoria’s vibrant arts community and appealing to local arts supporters and out-of-town visitors alike. For four intense and exciting days a series of keynote speakers, panel discussions, exhibitions and performances will take place in the Victoria Conference Centre, the McPherson Theatre and other venues throughout the downtown area.
