Charles Rea's current paintings are produced by applying paint to one half of the surface and then folding the other half over onto the wet paint. When unfolded, the result is a nearly symmetrical picture of modulated white and black paint sitting lightly on a shimmering vinyl ground. The folding is doubled again in the diptych format. If the emphasis on mirroring and doubling that runs through these paintings, together with the architectural character of their composition, suggest binary systems of perception and institutional codes of behaviour, it also provokes a sense of instability.

Stephen Booth is a multimedia and 2D visual artist. His works range from large scale permanent pieces to temporary installations. He uses a wide variety of media in his art including clay concrete and ready made objects. Born in Edmonton Alberta, he received his BFA from the University of Alberta and is Masters in Sculpture from the Edinburgh College of Art in Scotland. Currently he is working out of Vancouver, Canada, where he also teaches a selection of art courses.
