The Richmond Food Bank Society

The Richmond Food Bank Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing food security to people in Richmond. Our mission is to share the bounty of our community with those in need. Three hundred and seventy families are served in an average week. Of these 850 people, almost 300 are children. In 2004, our 120 volunteers and 3 staff distributed over 19,000 hampers. Every dollar in donations received by the Richmond Food Bank allows us to distribute over $6 worth of groceries.
