Old Strathcona Business Association. Working to improve the area of the Old Strathcona Business Redevelopment Zone

The Alberta Avenue Business Association is one of the eleven Business Revitalization Zones (BRZ) established by the City of Edmonton. Our BRZ represents the businesses along 118th Avenue from the underpass at Northlands to 105 Street – north of NAIT. It is bordered by five Community Leagues with a population over 30,000. It represents over 210 businesses and services located within our boundaries – a high proportion of these businesses are family operations or single proprietorships that cater to the needs of the community.

Combining Edwardian elegance with modern style and convenience, 124th Street is an attractive residential area, a specialty shopping district and a centre for the arts. Designed nearly a century ago to serve the communities of Glenora and Oliver, 124th Street soon became one of the most fashionable retail areas in the city. Many of its historic homes and commercial buildings have been carefully preserved, and the area has been extensively developed since 1990 as a popular destinations for Edmontonians and visitors alike.
