City of Cranbrook
Cranbrook proper has a population of approximately 18,500 people and another 16,000 people in our surrounding rural area. This makes Cranbrook the largest city in the area and makes us the natural supply centre of the East and West Kootenay. Our location on Highways 3, 93 and 95 allows easy access to the large US market to the south, the Alberta market to the east and to the west, BC's lower mainland and the Pacific Rim market. We have a very good supply of fully serviced industrial land at an extremely affordable price. Further, the supply of quality and affordable land and housing, a well trained labour force, natural gas and ample hydro supply makes business operation extremely viable.
Cranbrook and District Chamber of Commerce
The Cranbrook and District Chamber of Commerce is an organization of individuals and groups who have joined together to achieve common goals. Membership in the Chamber gives you the opportunity to support your local business and contribute to these goals in many effective ways. Cranbrook, located in the southeast corner of British Columbia, is the regional center of the Kootenays. Nestling on sloping plains, Cranbrook faces the Purcell Mountains to the west, and the Rockies to the north and east. With mild winters and more sunshine hours than any other B.C. city, Cranbrook has become a favoured spot to work, play, retire, or raise a family. Please don't hesitate to contact us for more information about this beautiful city, or to find out more about our Chamber of Commerce.
