The Oberlander horse is a rare and exceptional breed, renowned for its combination of strength, amiable demeanor, and versatile usage. The Oberlander horse has only recently been introduced to North America, and is quickly capturing public interest. While there are nearly 4000 Oberlander horses in Germany, there are only several dozen situated in North America. The Purpose of the Oberlander Horse Association is to provide a community and forum dedicated to the promotion and development of this exciting breed in North America.
