Here at JC Custom, we build our furniture from white knotty pine and selected hardwoods (White Ash, Red Oak, Birch, Maple and Cherry). Our wood is kiln dried, not air dried, which results in a wood with a moisture of 6 to 8 percent. This eliminates warping, and splitting, which can occur in woods that have more moisture in them.
